We are proud to announce that it has achieved AS9120 certification. After many months of diligent work, the company has completed all prerequisites necessary to gain this valued accreditation. To meet the stringent requirements of Swiss Devco’s aerospace customers, the company felt it necessary to acquire AS 9120 certification. The company is proud to be one of only a handful of Small, Woman Owned Small Business Suppliers that can also provide certification to AS 9120.
To ensure customer satisfaction, aviation, space and defense organizations must produce and continually improve safe, reliable products that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements. The AS9120 standard was developed for distributors and suppliers working with OEM customers, producing parts and materials in the aviation, space, and defense industries.
AS9120 focuses on product safety, performance, and conformity to specifications. The standard also ensures that materials are handled properly through the chain of custody, traceability, and the availability of records.
When your organization aligns to the AS9120 standard you will not only gain quality and efficiency benefits but also be better aligned to exceed customer expectations. AS9120 can provide the competitive edge you need by:
• Enhancing supplier performance due to higher quality and less waste
• Efficient documentation
• Detecting opportunities for operational improvements and reduction of costs
“The Swiss Devco’s formal registration audit for AS9120 resulted in a perfect score of 1000 out of a potential 1000 points — with literally no major or minor non-conformances observed — the first such perfect score we are aware of in the independent channel for electronic components,” explains Brian Rucker Swiss Devco COO.
AS9120 is a company level certification based on a standard published by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) titled “Quality Management Systems-Aerospace Requirements for Stockist Distributors”. This standard includes ISO9001:2000 and specific requirements related to the Aerospace Industry.
This certification is intended for organizations that procure parts, materials and assemblies, and sell these products to a customer in the Aerospace industry. This includes organizations that procure products and split them into smaller quantities. This standard is not intended for organizations that rework or repair products. The standard focuses on areas such as traceability, controls of records, airworthiness certificates, among others.
